When Dean heard that the whole house would be taking a Saturday hiking trip, he was less than pleased. And when he found out that giants and humans would be separated for said trip, he was practically pissing himself. Minutes after the news was delivered in the living room, stating that they’d be heading out within the hour, Dean snatched Flynn up off of the sofa, earning him a startled yelp from both the pink haired boy and Eric, the human sitting close to them, and darted up the stairs. Dean muttered as he felt Flynn squirm against his chest, banging on the fabric stubbornly, and only released him when they had gotten to their room.

The Storm

 The storm is fading, only a small rumble in the base of my skull. No longer is there flashes of doubt that finish with a loud boom of “END IT”. It never said what to end, but I have an idea of what it wanted. The arms around my waist were no longer dragging me down to drown in a dark abyss, but rather, anchoring me to reality. A single shaking breath escaped my lips because for that moment, I am free. It was only a moment though before dark thoughts slipped through my defense.
